THE POWER OF VISION

Your success in life is not dependent on the state of the economy, the career you intend to pursue or you are either pursuing neither is it what the labour market is saying or the level of connection your godfather has. It is not even determined by your political affiliation like in Nigeria where you either belong to PDP or APC neither  your qualification or the class of degree you possess. It is not determined by the challenges you are passing through at the moment. ‘The road map to becoming a global champion is dependent on your ability to pursue your visions and dreams to the fullest’.
Vision has an acronym to enable one examine the real meaning
V- Valued
I- Inspired information
S- Systems
I- Integrated for profitable
O- Opportunities
N- Networks

As powerful and important as vision is to life many individuals  have neglected it to the background. In our society today many are living with snapshot of individuals they desire to become like, yet they lack the prerequisite visions and dreams they need to reach their destination. Many of such individuals  ask questions why not me? What do they have that I don’t have? How come they made it so big and I didn’t make it?  They failed to understand that for you to make a mark in life you need an effective power of dreams and visions.
Sight is what is accomplished through the function of the eyes while vision is made effective through the inspiration and revelation of one’s mind. Vision is the key to moving from what was and what is taking us forward into what could be and what has never been before2. It is the unseen force that unwrap the unseen world into reality. Vision sets you free from the boundaries of limitation of what the eyes can see and enables you to enter into the liberty of what the mind can feel and imagine. It is the ability to see farther than your physical eyes can see.
With vision nothing is impossible because as a visionary every impossibility is seen as a ladder to climbing to the top. Vision gives you hope, confidence in the midst of challenges it turns your failures into strategies for accomplishing your goals.  A visionary don’t see failure as anything rather they see failure as fuel for accomplishing visions. Myles Munroe once said that ‘vision creates hope in the midst of discouragement, and gives you patience in the midst of troubles .vision inspire the depressed and motivates those that are pulling down and out. Vision is the foundation for being courageous and the gas or engine of persistence.
Realize  that  as a youngster in a poverty and  crisis stricken society  like  ours you have  a great  role  to play  in bringing  solutions myriad of our problems . This solution can only be realized under the ambit of a vision. Vision is the key to your future. It is the principal key in the journey of life. Remember this great roll call of fame, when King David had a vision he Conquered goliath when he lost the vision he wouldn’t conquer his lust for Beersheba, when Samson had a vision he won many battles but when he lost his vision he could not fight the battle of flesh by falling in love with Delilah ,when King Solomon had a vision  he asked God for wisdom and understanding and became the wisest man of all times when he lost his vision he couldn’t conquer his lust  for women ,when King Saul had a vision  he conquered kingdoms  but when he lost  his vision he couldn’t conquer his jealousy for King David, when Tiger Woods  had a vision  he was rated world number one golfer when he lost his vision  he couldn’t control his passion for sex he lost his position as world number one, several endorsement worth millions of dollars ,when Nigeria had a vision she was referred to as giant of Africa, won several wars in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Congo but when she lost her vision her citizens have become security specimens in major international airports and her army couldn’t bring back the over 200 Chibok girls captured by Boko Haram.
Sight without Vision is dangerous because it gives no rays of hope many individuals have being living by sight alone instead of vision, that is why many youngsters are moving in one spot without direction. Vision is a powerful substance of life yet we have neglected it. Living with vision can be inspiring and wonderful while a life without it can be so dangerous. Myles Munroe once said ‘life is so full of depressing things that you need to learn to live by vision and see with the eyes of faith’ when you walk with the eyes of vision your faith is a activated to do great things beyond your physical strength. With vision your eyes is closed to what others are seeking because you see beyond the depths of the physical. Vision is the substance of life, get vision for your life today and the sky will not be you limit but your starting point.

Embrace Your Season
God has ordained seasons and cycles in our lives. Sometimes, when our dreams aren’t coming to pass on our timetable, we can be tempted to get frustrated. We have to be careful not to allow our attitude to keep us from moving forward.
In God’s kingdom, every season is not harvest. There are plowing seasons, planting seasons and watering seasons. Sure, we would love for every season to be a time of increase; but without the other seasons, we wouldn’t be prepared. It’s during the plowing seasons that God brings issues to light that we need to deal with. He’s getting us prepared for promotion. If you’re not making as much progress as you would like, the key is not to lose any ground. Don’t go backwards. Hold your position by keeping an attitude of faith and expectancy, even when it’s hard. Keep plowing by speaking the Word daily. Keep pressing through because soon you will come in to your due season!

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in all seasons of my life. I trust that my time is coming, and I choose to remain faithful. I submit my ways to You today and trust that You have the best plan for my life in Jesus’ name. Amen
